On Tuesday evening, August 4^th, neighborhoods and businesses are invited to join forces with thousands of communities for “National Night Out 2009”. 

National Night Out is dedicated to heightening crime and drug prevention awareness, generating support for and participating in local anticrime efforts, strengthening neighborhood spirit, and sending a message to criminals letting them know Cedar Park neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Join us in celebrating police and community partnerships! From 7 PM to 10 PM, residents all over the country will be locking their doors, turning on outside lights and spending the evening outside with neighbors and police. Many neighborhoods throughout Cedar Park will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, parades, visits from police, flashlight walks, neighborhood and town spirit contests, youth activities, and anticrime rallies.
